Week 3 Recipes

Breakfast:

Overnight Apple-Cinnamon Oatmeal 

2 apples, chopped
1 1/2 c milk
1 1/2 c water
1 c steel cut oats
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tbsp ground flax seed
Salt for sprinkling when serving (optional)
Desired toppings (milk, brown sugar, raisins, nuts, etc.)

Combine all ingredients in a Ziploc except salt and toppings.  Label as follows: Place in 3-4 qt. slow cooker that has been sprayed with cooking spray.    Cook on low for 7 hours.  *No need to freeze, just stick in the fridge until ready to make this week.
